What day(s) and hour(s) will Austin Mini Maker Faire be open to the public?
Sunday, May 5th – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m
Where can I park?
Parking is available at the Palmer Parking Garage, adjacent to the facility with two entrances (from Barton Springs Road or Riverside Dr. Parking is $7.
Where is the handicap parking located?
Handicap parking is available in the Palmer Parking Garage.
Is public transportation available?
Find your public transportation route through bus or light rail at Capital Metro, or by calling 474-1200. Will you have bike parking?
Unmanned bicycle parking will be available.
Can I bring my dog?
For the safety and well being of our four-legged friends, please leave your pets at home. There are loud noises, many moveable parts, fire elements, and large crowds, all of which do not create a safe environment for pets.
Can I volunteer at the Mini Maker Faire?
Yes. We welcome volunteer participation at Austin Mini Maker Faire. We believe our volunteers make a valuable contribution to the success of the Faire! Learn more about the volunteer positions and contribute to the success of Austin Mini Maker Faire.

What if it rains?
The show will go on! Fortunately, we will have many indoor exhibits to keep the family dry, and our outdoor exhibits on the Pavilion are covered.
What can I expect?
To have the time of your life! You'll be surprised and intrigued with every corner that you turn.

About Austin Mini Maker Faire:
Austin Mini Maker Faire is organized by Austin Tinkering School, a place where kids (and adults) can use real tools and real materials to build the things that they think of.
About Maker Faire:
Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth—a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.
Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.
The original Maker Faire event was heldin San Mateo, CA and in 2012 celebrated its seventh annual show with some 800 makers and 110,000 people in attendance. World Maker Faire New York, the other flagshipevent, has grown in three years to 500+ makers and 55,000 attendees. Detroit, Kansas City, Newcastle (UK), and Tokyo are the home of “featured” Maker Faires (200+ makers), and community-driven, independently organized Mini Maker Faires are now being produced around the United States and the world—including right here in YOUR CITY.
Maker Faire is organized by MAKE magazine and supported by O'Reilly Media.
